+Looking for cost efficient heating?

You should be aware that current building regulations state that any replacement or new gas-fired boiler must be a condensing boiler. See our “Types of Systems” page.

Older boilers convert as little as 60% of the fuel they use into heat which has a big impact on your home heating bills and the environment.
We specialise in the installation of condensing boilers and renewable energy products from Vaillant, using the latest technology available.
Modern condensing boilers improve efficiency to over 90% which could save you a minimum of 30% per year on your home heating bills, which represents a big saving over the lifetime of your boiler.

A well maintained boiler will burn fuel efficiently but can naturally lose some heat through the flue. With a condensing boiler it has a larger heat exchanger, so it recovers more heat, sends cooler gases up the flue and is more efficient.

At Gas Safe Heating & Plumbing Ltd we recommend our clients have an annual boiler service, to keep their system running efficiently.

Depending on your heating and hot water demand there are different types of condensing boilers that are available; please contact us or see our “Types of Systems” page for any questions you might have regarding the main boiler types.

As Vaillant accredited Installers we can offer up to 7 years parts and labour warranty on all Vaillant boilers.

We also install cookers and gas hobs, so if you are looking to update your appliance feel free to contact us.

+Boiler Installation

What should I consider when replacing my boiler? You should consider these following: Fuel type, Boiler Type, How much hot water do you use? Where will it go in your home?

Fuel type: if you have a main gas then it is usually cheaper to get a gas boiler, but if you don’t have gas maybe you should consider it as it will save on the electric bill per kwh.

Boiler type- Most of the old style boilers use a separate hot water cylinder to store the hot water, whilst a combination boiler doesn’t need a cylinder.

How much hot water do you use? – if you are a large family that uses a lot of hot water then you are better installing a regular boiler such as a Vaillant 4 series with an unvented cylinder. But if you are a smaller household then it would be advised to install a combination boiler.

Where will it go in your home? – Combination boilers are compact and do not require a cylinder and can easily be slotted in to a kitchen cupboard.

Regular boilers can go in the kitchen as well but they have a separate cylinder and controls which are usually housed in an airing cupboard, however lots of people are putting the whole system in the loft these days.
